Internal Sales Engineer - Key Account (m/f)

Job description

  • Be responsible for quoting nominated key accounts in under Process Industry Projects accurately and professionally within an agreed time frame with the customer.

  • Be responsible for the sales quotation process and entry of data on to the Axapta system in accordance with the company standard operating procedures.

  • Negotiate (where necessary) suitable purchase pricing and delivery times to maximise margin and customer expectations.

  • Promote a friendly, professional and helpful response to enquiries and respond within the time frame agreed with the customer.

  • Closely monitor buying and selling prices to maximise margin and keep a clear record of these on the Axapta system.

  • Proactively work with the product management team to retain all current business and win new business, ensuring communication is clear and recorded within the Axapta system.

  • Ensure quotes are followed up with an agreed time frame and logged on the Axapta system in line with company standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure customer purchase orders are processed in accordance with the company guidelines and keep the customer updated through proactive communication.

  • Manage the complete supply chain. Pre-empt potential bottlenecks and proactively ensure there are no delays to the customer.

  • Acknowledge protracted delivery dates proactively, utilising reports generated from Axapta.

  • Prepare monthly invoice sales forecasts and submit to the Team Leader / Sales Manager.

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process.

  • Work with the department manager on other projects and assignments where appropriate.

Requested profile

  • Must be technically minded with experience in a technical and or electronic discipline.

  • Must have experience working within a sales environment.

  • Process Instrumentation Industry experience and knowledge would be advantageous.

  • Must be educated to ‘A Level’ standard or equivalent, technical qualification would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of a CRM / ERP system would be advantageous.

  • Good competent knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes.

  • Must have a pro-active, can-do attitude.

  • Must be able to offer a good degree of flexibility where workload permits.

  • Literate with effective communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate confidently with both external and internal customers and suppliers.

  • Must be organised and skilled in time management.

  • Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.

  • Must be able to effectively prioritise and manage workloads.

Reporting to the Team Leader- Process Industry Projects

The Internal Sales Engineer – Key Accounts role is primarily responsible for providing professional, competent sales and support to defined key accounts. They are responsible for the efficient and effective handling of the entire sales quotation and order process, so that it meets the customer’s expectation and is in accordance with the Company standard operating procedures.

The Internal Sales Engineer – Key Accounts will be proactive in developing all communication channels to win orders, promote the complete WIKA portfolio and obtain competition and market information. They are responsible for proactively managing orders through the standard order process.
